Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?

No appointment is needed at any iMed Urgent Care location. Walk-ins are always welcome during open hours. If you'd like to reduce your wait time, you can check in online before arriving but it's completely optional. You can easily visit us on weekends.

Does iMed Urgent Care offer telehealth?

Yes. iMed Urgent Care offers telehealth video visits for patients who cannot come in person. Telehealth is available for minor illnesses, prescription refills, and follow-up consultations. You'll connect with our experienced provider via your smartphone, tablet, or computer.

What is the difference between urgent care and the emergency room?

Urgent care is appropriate for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries including colds, UTIs, sprains, minor cuts, ear infections, and more. The emergency room is for life-threatening emergencies like chest pain, stroke symptoms, severe trauma, or uncontrolled bleeding. iMed Urgent Care typically costs less than an ER visit and has far shorter wait times.

Does iMed Urgent Care perform DOT physicals and immigration physicals?

Yes to both. iMed Urgent Care offers FMCSA-compliant DOT physical exams for commercial drivers (CDL) at our Columbus and Grove City locations. We are also a USCIS-designated civil surgeon practice and can complete immigration physical exams (Form I-693) with the sealed envelope for your USCIS appointment.

How much does a visit to iMed Urgent Care cost?

The cost of your visit depends on your insurance plan and the services provided. For insured patients, you pay your normal co-pay or coinsurance, typically far less than an ER visit. For uninsured patients, iMed Urgent Care offers competitive self-pay rates without any surprise billing.

Where are iMed Urgent Care's locations?
